The next time you're "passing through" Calvert, Texas, consider making a convenient stop to discover some of the hidden treasures in this quaint town a short drive north of Bryan, Texas. There is so much more than meets the eye just driving through town. You owe it to yourself to stop the car, take a "greener" approach and do a little walking! You'll be surprised at what you discover in Calvert.
One of those "treasures" is the award winning Zamykal Gourmet Kolaches, located on the southern portion of Main Street (HWY 6). We're told by owner, Jody Powers, that Zamykal Gourmet Kolaches will be featured on The Texas Country Reporter sometime in February. We don't have an exact date for the show yet, but will update this article if we hear a date. Meanwhile, please check your local TV listings and tune in to see a local favorite. |
