Donated Paint Can Be Used to Cover Graffiti

The Bryan Police Department’s Neighborhood Enforcement Team (N.E.T.) has secured donated paint from two local paint companies, Chapman Paint at 1700 E Villa Maria and The Paint Warehouse located at 2907 E Villa Maria.  The 23 gallons of donated paint are to be used to cover graffiti by those who have (1) reported the graffiti to the Police Department or Code Enforcement and (2) cannot afford the paint themselves.

N.E.T. officials will be available to distribute the paint the second Saturday of each month between 9 am and noon.  They will be distributing the paint by appointment only.  Appointments can be made by calling (979) 209-5539.  The appointment must be made at least 2 days prior to the distribution day.

Although City of Bryan Ordinance requires the removal of nuisance graffiti within 10 days, and the distribution of paint is only available every month, N.E.T. officials hope this program will help with the abatement of this particular nuisance.

The first distribution date will be March 8th and the appointment must be made by March 6th.
