Martha's Bloomers, Navasota Texas |
First, take the short trek down HWY 6. While the Business 6 exit will get you there, we suggest the scenic route by continuing south on 6. As you go south, take note of Martha’s Bloomers on your left. A relaxing destination in itself, you will surely want to visit Martha’s before you leave.

The Prewitt House, Navasota, Texas |
Take the Washington Street exit and head west into town. This is a beautiful tree lined street with historic homes, the Horlock History Center, and the bronze statue of La Salle for starters. You’ll be so intrigued by the beautiful homes, you may even want to jump off on a side street to tour the neighborhoods. Shady, tree lined streets abound with beautiful examples of period architecture and well-kept lawns. Beautiful parks and churches round out the tour.

Railroad Street, Navasota, Texas - One of many side streets you won't want to miss! |
If you continue westward on Washington Avenue to the “downtown” area, there are shops, restaurants, and a myriad of antique stores. And, be sure to take the side streets! You wouldn't want to miss Railroad Street with its magnificent buildings and shops or Farquhar Street where you’ll find a terrific restaurant, formerly Serendipity’s that the owners have transformed into The Corner Café.

Miller's Theater, Navasota, Texas |
Back to Washington Avenue again, take in a movie at Miller’s Theater, a 50’s vintage movie house. Next door is The Filling Station Diner and Café with a regular venue of live music outdoors to enjoy with your food and liven the streets of the Blues Capital of Texas! You could even take in a live play at the Navasota Theater Alliance.
