Meet Dean Wile, Bluebonnet Street Rod Club

Dean Wile

If you live in the Brazos Valley and you enjoy old cars, chances are you have run across Dean Wile. Many know Dean as a jeweler at David Gardner™s Jewelers, but most of Dean™s spare time is spent with his cars and fellow gearheads. Dean has a number of notable cars; some complete, some are projects. The car featured here is his ™39 Ford streetrod. Dean built this car himself out of an all original car. He installed an independent front suspension, a chevy small block, vintage air/heat, cruise control and a Ford 8¯ read end.

Dean builds all of his cars to drive and enjoy. This car was built to travel and it has done just that. Accumulating some 50,000 miles, since completed, with trips to Louisville, Kentucky, Indianapolis, Indiana, Pueblo, Colorado, and Des Moines, Iowa to name a few. Also included are numerous trips all over the state of Texas where this car and Dean are well known. I have had the pleasure of accompanying Dean to Oklahoma City more than once to NSRA events and can vouch for the cars ability to consume miles rapidly and reliably. Dean is a Charter member of the Bluebonnet Street Rod Club. The Bluebonnet Club is composed of Brazos Valley residents who enjoy old cars and others with the same interest. The club hosts the annual Rod Run at Central Park in College Station each June.
