New Databases Added to Bryan+College Station Public Library System
City invests in more information, easier access for B/CS citizens
WHAT: Library patrons of the Bryan+College Station Public Library System will have greater access to information in 2008. The System recently purchased 5 new databases for $17,000. Some databases are available remotely and others are only for use in one of the 3 libraries on library computers.

WHO: Ancestry® Library Edition**
Ancestry® Library Edition, a genealogy research database, offers census, vital, church, court, and immigration records for the United States and the United Kingdom, as well as collected records from other areas including Canada. Some of the key historical collections include U.S. Federal Census images and indexes from 1790 to 1930, American Genealogical Biographical Index, Social Security Death Index, and a Map Center of more than 1,000 historical maps. Chilton Library*
Don't want to come in to the library for a Chilton Auto Repair Manual? View photographs, diagnostics, repair procedures, maintenance schedules, wiring diagrams, recalls and Technical Service Bulletins (TSBs) for automobiles and light trucks dating back to 1945 online.
