City of Bryan Honored with Keep Brazos Beautiful Award
Environmental Services Department receive “Keepers of the Kingdom” Award
WHAT: The City of Bryan Environmental Education (BEE) Program will be receiving the “Keepers of the Kingdom” Award at this year’s Annual Keep Brazos Beautiful (KBB) Community 25th Anniversary and Awards Gala.
The Environmental Services Department of the City of Bryan unveiled the Bryan Environmental Education (or BEE) Program in April of 2007. This BEE Program is designed to be a new and innovative form of public outreach and was created to offer comprehensive community education, focusing on the important environmental issues of litter, water conservation, storm water pollution and solid waste management.

Goal of the BEE Program – Residents
To instill a sense of personal accountability and environmental responsibility within the community, while offering local solutions to common environmental problems. The BEE Program reaches the diverse population of 65,000 Bryan residents through event planning and tabling, group presentations and volunteer opportunities.

To instill in students a sense of personal accountability and environmental responsibility within the community, while offering local solutions to common environmental problems. The BEE Program reaches our diverse population of students through event planning and tabling, group and classroom presentations, volunteer opportunities and the availability of our subject-specific lesson plan kits, called BEE-Bins.
